Barnstaple Rugby Club Launches new Academy

With sponsorship from Barnstaple Round Table, Barnstaple Rugby Club have announced the launch of their new youth academy.

Director of rugby Kevin Squire thanked Barnstaple Round Table, adding that all North Devon clubs would benefit from the new academy.

Barum have revealed plans to gather together the best young players in the region once a month for on and off-field coaching.

And while Barnstaple hope that will see them signing up the cream of North Devon's rugby talent, they are also keen for the Academy to raise the standard of rugby across the region.

Squire said: "North Devon is an enormous catchment area, but if a player is focused, ambitious and serious about rugby and lives locally, we know about them.
